Head of Conveyancing and Partner of Langley Wellington LLP
Andy joined Langley Wellington in 1996 to head up its conveyancing work having gained many years of experience at another Gloucestershire firm which has since merged with Langley Wellington. Prior to that Andy worked in the legal department of Nationwide Building Society.
In many ways Andy pioneered a lot of the conveyancing processes that we now take for granted. Co-operation with estate agents and access for clients to on-line case tracking were not always the basic every day procedures that they are now! Andy has always been very forward thinking and extremely customer focused which traditionally has always been a failing of many law firms.
Andy’s drive and vision of how to modernise the house moving process led him to open Cotswold Conveyancing Centre in 1999. His idea was to create a specialist, unique and dedicated department which would provide clients with a no nonsense straight forward and motivated approach to conveyancing at a time when very few solicitors specialised in just conveyancing and tried to split their disciplines.
Langley Wellington via CCC is one of the largest providers of transactional conveyancing in the area but with Andy’s original principles of providing good communication and client focused attitudes.
Andy himself carries out all aspects of property work and builds excellent relationships with his clients that last through many house moves.
Client Manager – Gloucester Office
Sharon joined CCC in September 1999 at the point of its inception and has since that time been fundamental in the development and success of the department.
Sharon has many years of experience in all aspects of conveyancing and has dealt with all types of transactions and properties. She has now found her niche with New Build properties and now specialises in this complex area of property buying. She ensures that the tight deadlines set by Developers are met without any unnecessary stress and she is familiar with the various home buy schemes that have been introduced in relation to new properties.
Sharon is able to meet tight deadlines for developers whilst providing all her clients with a personal and dedicated service.
Head of Cheltenham Office - Partner, Chartered Legal Executive and CILEx Conveyancing Practitioner
Scott joined the team in November 2011 and now heads the firms Cheltenham office. Scott has extensive knowledge and experience in the field of Conveyancing which his clients find invaluable.
In February 2015 Scott was authorised by the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives to practice as the first ever independently regulated Conveyancing Practitioner in England and Wales. Scott is also a member of the Society for Licensed Conveyancers
Scott has previously worked with other local firms and has predominately undertaken Cheltenham and London based work throughout his career. His local knowledge is superb and is often able to offer advice to clients that only comes from a genuine interest in his area and in property in general.
Scott deals with a wide range of residential and commercial conveyancing matters - including advising developer clients in the establishment of residential developments and corporate clients in the acquisition of commercial premesis
Scott is popular with estate agents, clients and property specialists for his straight forward, honest and efficient approach to his work.
Chartered Legal Executive– Gloucester Office
Emma is a Chartered Legal Executive and qualified in 2001
Emma joined the firm in November 2013 as a Client Manager. She deals with most aspects of residential property transactions including new build properties, Affordable and Shared Ownership Schemes
Chartered Legal Executive – Cheltenham Office
Claire specialises in residential conveyancing and is a Chartered Legal Executive who qualified in 2000. She has always worked in Gloucestershire and knows the local market well. Claire offers practical advice, protecting the best interests and position of clients in a clear and practical way. She is very approachable and has a keen eye for detail
Claire is highly motivated and regularly updates clients and other professionals so that the stress of moving house is reduced. A dedicated professional who will always talk to other parties and give reasonable and sound advice.
Outside of work Claire enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She is a black belt in Tae Kwon Do and organises fund raising events for her children's school.
Business Development Manager – Cheltenham Office
Len Evans joined the practice as Business Development Manager in April 2011 following 40 years service in the Banking industry. He has worked as a Branch Manager, Regional Manager and National Intermediary for Cheltenham & Gloucester which was part of the Lloyds Banking Group and he brings a wealth of knowledge with regard to the House buying process and financial services generally.
Len is now based at the Cheltenham office where he continues to develop relationships with other professional groups and supporting new and existing clients with their needs. Len is proud to represent Langley Wellington in this period of growth and in an ever changing business environment.
Len also works with a number of Gloucestershire Charities and organisations and can often been seen fronting fundraising events as Master of Ceremonies.
In his spare time he enjoys Rugby and Cricket and is a keen military historian, but above all loves being with family and friends and enjoying good food and wine
Rosetta joined the team in 2014 and deals with most aspects of residential property work including leasehold and new-build properties. Rosetta obtained a Graduate Diploma in Law with distinction from the University of the West of England, and has since qualified as a Chartered Legal Executive. Rosetta’s dedicated, client focussed and proactive approach means that she is able to deliver an excellent service to clients.
Jessica joined Cotswold Conveyancing Centre in December 2019 having previously worked in another local law firm for 4.5 years.
Jessica deals with most aspects of residential conveyancing and is currently training to become a Chartered Legal Executive. Jessica offers support and comfort in times when moving home can become stressful. She excels when it comes to providing updates and is happy to offer advice to ensure a smooth and enjoyable property transaction.
In her spare time she likes to keep fit and socialise with friends and family.
Rebecca joined Cotswold Conveyancing Centre in December 2019.
Working in the property industry the majority of her adult life, in both Estate Agency and Conveyancing, Rebecca has gained extensive knowledge of the trials both sellers and buyers face when dealing with Property and how to overcome them in an efficient manner. Living in Gloucester has brought a wealth of local knowledge, understanding different areas and markets. Throughout her career Rebecca has handled transactions for clients worldwide, predominately working on transactions in the Gloucestershire area and London. Rebecca now works with clients purchasing new build properties as first time buyers as well as selling their own properties.
Rebecca is currently training to qualify as a Chartered Legal Executive specialising in Conveyancing.
Outside of work Rebecca competes in Agility regularly with her English Springer Spaniel and is a keen runner.
Kim joined the firm in 2015 as a Client Manager having previously worked at Treasures Solicitors since 2007.
Kim specialises in residential Conveyancing and is more than happy to navigate her clients through the often stressful Conveyancing process with understanding and good humour whilst delivering a professional and efficient service. Her other interests include Earth Science, having achieved a BSc Hons with the Open University in 2004.
Becky Morgan & Gabby Moston-Smith
Becky has worked for the firm since 1998 as an admin assistant. She has worked in CCC as a new business coordinator for 10 years and has valuable communication skills which make her a favourite point of contact for agents and clients alike.
Gabby joined the firm in 2018. With 15 years experience in retail and customer service, she understands the importance of communication and a tailored approach to each client.
